Appointments

The appointment system at the surgery has not changed. We have become much busier in the last year due to the volume of patients registered at the Practice.

Patients can always book routine appointments with reception for the future and so we recommend you do this wherever possible.

If however you need medical attention within the next 72 hours you will be asked to ring back at 08:00 on the day for a morning appointment or 12:00 for an afternoon appointment.

Therefore we emphasise the importance of booking ahead to enable you to have more choice of times and see the GP of your choices.

If you need medication reviews please book with Lynn Pucill, Practice Nurse.

Surgery Times

There are morning and evening surgeries every weekday from Monday to Friday. Please telephone or visit the surgery between the hours of 08:00 and 18:30 to make an appointment. Urgent cases will always be fitted in if the surgery if fully booked; please telephone the surgery and an allocated time will be given to you. This system enables us to plan our work and extend surgeries to meet demand.

We offer a wide range of appointment times from 08:30 -12:30 and 15:30 – 18:00. (NB this does vary from day to day). We urge patients to book in advance if you require early or late appointments as they are not available every day and get booked up very quickly.

Lynn Pucill, Practice Nurse, offers extended hours on Monday and Tuesday 06:50 – 08:00

Sarah Carbonaro, Practice Nurse, offers extended hours on Thursday 07:30 – 08:00 and Friday 07:30-08:00.

If you would like one of these times contact the surgery and book in advance as much as possible.

Accessing a GP Or Nurse by Telephone

If you want to speak to a GP, telephone the surgery and the receptionist will advise you of a convenient time to call back or they will take your details and ask the GP to call you, however any emergency will be put through to the GP immediately or as soon as possible.

If you want to speak to a nurse, please telephone between 12.15 and 13.15 each day and you will be put through to Sarah or Lynn.

When a GP is on holiday and unable to do their clinic in the evening or early morning there will be a telephone triage system in place to cover that time. If you require a telephone consultation by the on call GP please contact the surgery in advance.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
